Dr. Ashley Cook

DVM

After a childhood spent riding horses competitively, Dr. Cook chased her dream of becoming a Veterinarian.  She was accepted to and studied at the University of Guelph, graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2013. After a few short years of practicing in General Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Cook made the transition to Emergency Medicine, and shortly thereafter joined the KVEC team full time.

She maintains her lifelong love of animals while also being drawn to the ever changing and progressive landscape of Veterinary Medicine. She is particularly interested in both Ultrasound and Surgery. Dr. Cook enjoys the prospect of continuing to expand her knowledge and skills to better care for her four legged (sometimes 3 legged) patients.

During the short warm Ontario summers you would likely find her out in her garden or dreaming up various DIY projects. Her lab x Slider is usually close by as are her two cats Peter and Bob Ross. Winters are spent hibernating inside, cooking, reading and dreaming of exotic travel destinations.
