Sam

Animal Care Assistant

Since she was little, she always wanted to be in the animal field in some way, didn’t know exactly what aspect of the animal field she wanted to be in, so she worked in various types of animal care positions until she ultimately ended up in an emergency position and found her passion. She attended University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus and graduated the Veterinary Assistant and Office Administration program in 2014. She has 10 years of experience, mostly in emergency medicine.
She deeply cares about every pet, but she has a real soft spot for “spicy” cats aka grumpy cats, some even call her the “cat whisperer”. She loves seeing when the difficult, very ill cases get to go home to their families and ensures each and every one feels as loved as they do when they’re at home.
In her spare time, she likes to be outdoors with her family/dog or just relax with her 2 cats, and dog at home.
